RESUMO

Sensor faults are one of the most common faults that cause performance degradation or functional loss in permanent magnet traction drive systems (PMTDSs). To quickly diagnose faulty sensors, this paper proposes a real-time joint diagnosis method for multi-sensor faults based on structural analysis. Firstly, based on limited monitoring signals on board, a structured model of the system was established using the structural analysis method. The isolation and detectability of faulty sensors were analyzed using the Dulmage-Mendelsohn decomposition method. Secondly, the minimum collision set method was used to calculate the minimum overdetermined equation set, transforming the higher-order system model into multiple related subsystem models, thereby reducing modeling complexity and facilitating system implementation. Next, residual vectors were constructed based on multiple subsystem models, and fault detection and isolation strategies were designed using the correlation between each subsystem model and the relevant sensors. The validation results of the physical testing platform based on online fault data recordings showed that the proposed method could achieve rapid fault detection and the localization of multi-sensor faults in PMTDS and had a good application value.

RESUMO

Transition-metal-catalyzed carbene insertion reactions of a nitrogen-hydrogen bond have emerged as robust and versatile methods for the construction of C-N bonds. While significant progress of homogeneous catalytic metal carbene N-H insertions has been achieved, the control of chemoselectivity in the field remains challenging due to the high electrophilicity of the metal carbene intermediates. Herein, we present an efficient strategy for the synthesis of a rhodium single-atom-site catalyst (Rh-SA) that incorporates a Rh atom surrounded by three nitrogen atoms and one phosphorus atom doped in a carbon support. This Rh-SA catalyst, with a catalyst loading of only 0.15 mol %, exhibited exceptional catalytic performance for heterogeneous carbene insertion with various anilines and heteroaryl amines in combination with diazo esters. Importantly, the heterogeneous catalyst selectively transformed aniline derivatives bearing multiple nucleophilic moieties into single N-H insertion isomers, while the popular homogeneous Rh2(OAc)4 catalyst produced a mixture of overfunctionalized side products. Additionally, similar selectivities for N-H bond insertion with a set of stereoelectronically diverse diazo esters were obtained, highlighting the general applicability of this heterogeneous catalysis approach. On the basis of density functional theory calculations, the observed selectivity of the Rh-SA catalyst was attributed to the insertion barriers and the accelerated proton transfer assisted by the phosphorus atom in the support. Overall, this investigation of heterogeneous metal-catalyzed carbene insertion underscores the potential of single-atom-site catalysis as a powerful and complementary tool in organic synthesis.

RESUMO

14-3-3ζ protein, the key target in the regulation and control of integrin ß3 outside-in signaling, is an attractive new strategy to inhibit thrombosis without affecting hemostasis. In this study, 4'-O-methylbavachalconeB (4-O-MB) in Psoraleae Fructus was identified as a 14-3-3ζ ligand with antithrombosis activity by target fishing combined with ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS) analysis. The competitive inhibition analysis showed that 4-O-MB targeted 14-3-3ζ and blocked the 14-3-3ζ/integrin ß3 interaction with inhibition constant (Ki) values of 9.98 ± 0.22 µM. Molecular docking and amino acid mutation experiments confirmed that 4-O-MB specifically bound to 14-3-3ζ through LSY9 and SER28 to regulate the 14-3-3ζ/integrin ß3 interaction. Besides, 4-O-MB affected the integrin ß3 early outside-in signal by inhibiting AKT and c-Src phosphorylation. Meanwhile, 4-O-MB could inhibit ADP-, collagen-, or thrombin-induced platelet aggregation function but had no effect on platelet adhesion to collagen-coated surfaces in vivo. Administration of 4-O-MB could significantly inhibit thrombosis formation without disturbing hemostasis in mice. These findings provide new prospects for the antithrombotic effects of Psoraleae Fructus and the potential application of 4-O-MB as lead compounds in the therapy of thrombosis by targeting 14-3-3ζ.

RESUMO

Graphene has promising applications in agriculture and forestry. In the current study, six different concentrations of graphene (0mg/L, 0.01mg/L, 0.10mg/L, 1.00mg/L, 10.00mg/L, and 100.00mg/L) were used to investigate its effect on the growth and development of V. angularis plants in soil culture. The results showed that the group treated with 1.00mg/L graphene (G-1) had significantly increased plant height (19.86%), stem diameter (24.33%), and leaf area (13.69%), compared to the control group (CK). Moreover, all concentrations of graphene had positive effects on the total root length, total root surface area, and the number of root tips of V. angularis. Compared to the CK group, the G-1 group had significantly increased leaf water potential (37.89%), leaf conductivity (2.25%), and SOD, POD, and CAT activities (47.67%, 35.22%, and 199.3%, respectively). The G-1 group also showed improved leaf net photosynthetic rate, chlorophyll content, and soluble sugar content (51.28%, 24.25%, and 38.35%, respectively), compared to the CK group. Additionally, 1.00mg/L graphene led to a 23.88% increase in the podding rate and a 17.04% increase in the yield of V. angularis plants. The rhizosphere soil of V. angularis treated with 1.00mg/L graphene had a 25.14% increase in hydrolyzable nitrogen content and a 66.67% increase in available phosphorus content. RNA-seq data indicated that 1.00mg/L graphene induced the expression of photosynthesis and nitrogen transmembrane transport genes, including ATP synthase subunit b, photosystem I reaction center subunit XI, photosystem I reaction center subunit IV A, ferredoxin, and psbP-like protein 1, as well as genes for photosynthesis antenna proteins, glutamine synthetase, glutamate dehydrogenase 1, cyanate hydratase, protein fluG-like, and NRT1/PTR family, suggesting that graphene promoted the growth and development of V. angularis by enhancing the photosynthesis and nitrogen metabolism processes in V. angularis plants. Our results indicated that a suitable concentration of graphene could significantly promote the growth of V. angularis plants in soil.

RESUMO

Construction of heterogeneous interfaces with dual active components to synergistically promote both hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is an effective strategy for facilitating electrochemical water splitting, but the appropriate active component regulation via simple synthesis procedures is still challenging. Herein, the Co and Co2Mo3O8 active components are screened to construct effective heterogeneous interfaces and successfully integrated on Ni foam by thermal reduction of cobalt molybdate precursor. And this bifunctional electrode (Co/Co2Mo3O8/NF) required overpotentials of only 164 and 360 mV to drive the 100 mA cm-2 for HER and OER in alkaline media, respectively. Theoretical calculations showed that the electron transfer occurred from Co to Co2Mo3O8 at the interface, then the formed interfacial cobalt atoms with deficient electron were beneficial for water activation, and reduced energy barrier of water dissociation under the synergistic effect of Co2Mo3O8. Notably, the alkaline electrolyzer based on symmetric Co/Co2Mo3O8/NF electrodes generated 100 mA cm-2 at a voltage of only 1.75 V, surpassing commercially available precious-metal Pt/RuO2-based catalysts.

RESUMO

With the advantages of a Fenton-inactive characteristic and unique p electrons that can hybridize with O2 molecules, p-block metal-based single-atom catalysts (SACs) for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) have tremendous potential. Nevertheless, their undesirable intrinsic activity caused by the closed d10 electronic configuration remains a major challenge. Herein, an Sb-based SAC featuring carbon vacancy-enhanced Sb-N4 active centers, corroborated by the results of high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure, has been developed for an incredibly effective ORR. The obtained SbSA-N-C demonstrates a positive half-wave potential of 0.905 V and excellent structural stability in alkaline environments. Density functional theory calculations reveal that the carbon vacancies weaken the adsorption between Sb atoms and the OH* intermediate, thus promoting the ORR performance. Practically, the SbSA-N-C-based Zn-air batteries achieve impressive outcomes, such as a high power density of 181 mW cm-2, showing great potential in real-world applications.

RESUMO

Patients with concurrent intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) and hepatolithiasis generally have poor prognoses. Hepatolithiasis is once considered the primary cause of ICC, although recent insights indicate that bacteria in the occurrence of hepatolithiasis can promote the progression of ICC. By constructing in vitro and in vivo ICC models and patient-derived organoids (PDOs), it is shown that Escherichia coli induces the production of a novel RNA, circGLIS3 (cGLIS3), which promotes tumor growth. cGLIS3 binds to hnRNPA1 and G3BP1, resulting in the assembly of stress granules (SGs) and suppression of hnRNPA1 and G3BP1 ubiquitination. Consequently, the IKKα mRNA is blocked in SGs, decreasing the production of IKKα and activating the NF-κB pathway, which finally results in chemoresistance and produces metastatic phenotypes of ICC. This study shows that a combination of Icaritin (ICA) and gemcitabine plus cisplatin (GP) chemotherapy can be a promising treatment strategy for ICC.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: To construct a radiomics-clinical nomogram model for predicting the risk of local and metastatic recurrence within 3 years after radical cystectomy (RC) of bladder cancer (BCa) based on the radiomics features and important clinical risk factors for arterial computed tomography (CT) images and to evaluate its efficacy. METHODS: Preoperative CT datasets of 134 BCa patients (24 recurrent) who underwent RC were collected and divided into training (n = 93) and validation sets (n = 41). Radiomics features were extracted from a 1.5 mm CT layer thickness image in the arterial phase. A radiomics score (Rad-Score) model was constructed using the feature dimension reduction method and a logistic regression model. Combined with important clinical factors, including gender, age, tumor size, tumor number and grade, pathologic T stage, lymph node stage and histology type of the archived lesion, and CT image signs, a radiomics-clinical nomogram was developed, and its performance was evaluated in the training and validation sets. Decision curve analyses (DCA) the potential clinical usefulness. RESULTS: The radiomics model is finally linear combined by 8 features screened by LASSO regression, and after coefficient weighting, achieved good predictive results. The radiomics nomogram developed by combining two independent predictors, Rad-Score and pathologic T stage, was developed in the training set [AUC, 0.840; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.743-0.937] and validation set (AUC, 0.883; 95% CI 0.777-0.989). The calibration curve showed good agreement between the predicted probability of the radiomics-clinical model and the actual recurrence rate within 3 years after RC for BCa. DCA show the clinical application value of the radiomics-clinical model. CONCLUSION: The radiomics-clinical nomogram model constructed based on the radiomics features of arterial CT images and important clinical risk factors is potentially feasible for predicting the risk of recurrence within 3 years after RC for BCa.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Circuit clotting remains a major problem during continuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT), particularly in patients with contraindications to anticoagulant use. We hypothesized that the different options of alternative replacement fluid infusion sites might affect circuit lifespan. However, research-based evidence supporting an optimal replacement fluid infusion strategy is limited. Therefore, we aimed to evaluate the effect of three dilution modes (pre-dilution, post-dilution, and pre- to post-dilution) on circuit lifespan during continuous veno-venous hemodiafiltration (CVVHDF). METHODS: This prospective cohort study was conducted between December 2019 and December 2020. Patients requiring CKRT were enrolled to receive pre-dilution, post-dilution, or pre- to post-dilution fluid infusion with CVVHDF. The primary endpoint was circuit lifespan, and the secondary outcomes included the clinical parameters of patients, such as changes in serum creatinine (Scr) and blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels, 28-day all-cause mortality, and length of stay. For all patients included in this study, only the first circuit used was recorded. RESULTS: Among the 132 patients enrolled in this study, 40 were in the pre-dilution mode, 42 were in the post-dilution mode, and 50 were in the pre- to post-dilution mode. The mean circuit lifespan was significantly longer in the pre- to post-dilution group (45.72 h, 95% CI, 39.75-51.69 h) than in the pre-dilution group (31.58 h, 95% CI, 26.33-36.82 h) and the post-dilution group (35.20 h, 95% CI, 29.62-40.78 h). There was no significant difference between the pre- and post-dilution group circuit lifespan (p > 0.05). Kaplan-Meier survival analysis revealed a significant difference between the three dilution modes (p = 0.001). No significant differences were observed in terms of changes in the Scr and BUN levels, admission day, and 28-day all-cause mortality among the three dilution groups (p > 0.05). CONCLUSION: The pre- to post-dilution mode significantly prolonged circuit lifespan but did not reduce Scr and BUN levels, compared with the pre-dilution and post-dilution modes during CVVHDF when no anticoagulants were used.

RESUMO

Renewable-electricity-powered carbon dioxide (CO2) reduction (eCO2R) to high-value fuels like methane (CH4) holds the potential to close the carbon cycle at meaningful scales. However, this kinetically staggered 8-electron multistep reduction suffers from inadequate catalytic efficiency and current density. Atomic Cu-structures can boost eCO2R-to-CH4 selectivity due to enhanced intermediate binding energies (BEs) resulting from favorably shifted d-band centers. In this work, 2D carbon nitride (CN) matrices, viz. Na-polyheptazine (PHI) and Li-polytriazine imides (PTI), are exploited to host Cu-N2 type single-atom sites with high density (≈1.5 at%), via a facile metal-ion exchange process. Optimized Cu loading in nanocrystalline Cu-PTI maximizes eCO2R-to-CH4 performance with Faradaic efficiency (FECH4) of ≈68% and a high partial current density of 348 mA cm-2 at -0.84 V vs reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE), surpassing the state-of-the-art catalysts. Multi-Cu substituted N-appended nanopores in the CN frameworks yield thermodynamically stable quasi-dual/triple sites with large interatomic distances dictated by the pore dimensions. First-principles calculations elucidate the relative Cu-CN cooperative effects between the matrices and how the Cu local environment dictates the adsorbate BEs, density of states, and CO2-to-CH4 energy profile landscape. The 9N pores in Cu-PTI yield cooperative Cu-Cu sites that synergistically enhance the kinetics of the rate-limiting steps in the eCO2R-to-CH4 pathway.

RESUMO

We investigated the effects of graphene on the model herb Artemisia annua, which is renowned for producing artemisinin, a widely used pharmacological compound. Seedling growth and biomass were promoted when A. annua was cultivated with low concentrations of graphene, an effect which was attributed to a 1.4-fold increase in nitrogen uptake, a 15%-22% increase in chlorophyll fluorescence, and greater abundance of carbon cycling-related bacteria. Exposure to 10 or 20 mg/L graphene resulted in a âˆ¼60% increase in H2O2, and graphene could act as a catalyst accelerator, leading to a 9-fold increase in catalase (CAT) activity in vitro and thereby maintaining reactive oxygen species (ROS) homeostasis. Importantly, graphene exposure led to an 80% increase in the density of glandular secreting trichomes (GSTs), in which artemisinin is biosynthesized and stored. This contributed to a 5% increase in artemisinin content in mature leaves. Interestingly, expression of miR828 was reduced by both graphene and H2O2 treatments, resulting in induction of its target gene AaMYB17, a positive regulator of GST initiation. Subsequent molecular and genetic assays showed that graphene-induced H2O2 inhibits micro-RNA (miRNA) biogenesis through Dicers and regulates the miR828-AaMYB17 module, thus affecting GST density. Our results suggest that graphene may contribute to yield improvement in A. annua via dynamic physiological processes together with miRNA regulation, and it may thus represent a new cultivation strategy for increasing yield capacity through nanobiotechnology.

RESUMO

Threonine tyrosine kinase (TTK) is a critical component of the spindle assembly checkpoint and plays a pivotal role in mitosis. TTK has been identified as a potential therapeutic target for human cancers. Here, we describe our design, synthesis and evaluation of a class of covalent TTK inhibitors, exemplified by 16 (SYL1073). Compound 16 potently inhibits TTK kinase with an IC50 of 0.016 µM and displays improved selectivity in a panel of kinases. Mass spectrometry analysis reveals that 16 covalently binds to the C604 cysteine residue in the hinge region of the TTK kinase domain. Furthermore, 16 achieves strong potency in inhibiting the growth of various human cancer cell lines, outperforming its relative reversible inhibitor, and eliciting robust downstream effects. Taken together, compound 16 provides a valuable lead compound for further optimization toward the development of drug for treatment of human cancers.

RESUMO

Simultaneously elevating loading and activity of single atoms (SAs) is desirable for SA-containing catalysts, including single-atom catalysts (SACs). However, the fast self-nucleation of SAs limits the loading, and the activity is confined by the adsorption-energy scaling relationships on monotonous SAs. Here, we theoretically design a novel type of SA-containing catalyst generated by two-step structural self-regulation. In the thermodynamic self-regulation step, divacancies in graphene spontaneously pull up SAs from transition metal supports (dv-g/TM; TM = fcc Co, hcp Co, Ni, Cu), leading to the expectably high loading of SAs. The subsequent kinetic self-regulation step involving an adsorbate-assisted and reversible vacancy migration dynamically alters coordination environments of SAs, helping circumvent the scaling relationships, and consequently, the as-designed dv-g/Ni can catalyze NO-to-NH3 conversion at a low limiting potential of -0.25 V vs RHE.

RESUMO

Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma (ICC) is characterized by its dense fibrotic microenvironment and highly malignant nature, which are associated with chemotherapy resistance and very poor prognosis. Although circRNAs have emerged as important regulators in cancer biology, their role in ICC remains largely unclear. Herein, a circular RNA, cPKM is identified, which is upregulated in ICC and associated with poor prognosis. Silencing cPKM in ICC cells reduces TGFB1 release and stromal fibrosis, inhibits STMN1 expression, and suppresses ICC growth and metastasis, moreover, it also leads to overcoming paclitaxel resistance. This is regulated by the interactions of cPKM with miR-199a-5p or IGF2BP2 and by the ability of cPKM to stabilize STMN1/TGFB1 mRNA. Based on these findings, a Trojan horse nanotherapy strategy with co-loading of siRNA against cPKM (si-cPKM) and paclitaxel (PTX) is developed. The siRNA/PTX co-loaded nanosystem (Trojan horse) efficiently penetrates tumor tissues, releases si-cPKM and paclitaxel (soldiers), promotes paclitaxel sensitization, and suppresses ICC proliferation and metastasis in vivo. Furthermore, it alleviates the fibrosis of ICC tumor stroma and reopens collapsed tumor vessels (opening the gates), thus enhancing the efficacy of the standard chemotherapy regimen (main force). This novel nanotherapy provides a promising new strategy for ICC treatment.

RESUMO

Three carbon-chain extension genes associated with fatty acid synthesis in upland cotton (Gossypium hirsutum), namely GhKAR, GhHAD, and GhENR, play important roles in oil accumulation in cotton seeds. In the present study, these three genes were cloned and characterized. The expression patterns of GhKAR, GhHAD, and GhENR in the high seed oil content cultivars 10H1014 and 10H1041 differed somewhat compared with those of 10H1007 and 2074B with low seed oil content at different stages of seed development. GhKAR showed all three cultivars showed higher transcript levels than that of 2074B at 10-, 40-, and 45-days post anthesis (DPA). The expression pattern of GhHAD showed a lower transcript level than that of 2074B at both 10 and 30 DPA but a higher transcript level than that of 2074B at 40 DPA. GhENR showed a lower transcript level than that of 2074B at both 15 and 30 DPA. The highest transcript levels of GhKAR and GhENR were detected at 15 DPA in 10H1007, 10H1014, and 10H1041 compared with 2074B. From 5 to 45 DPA cotton seed, the oil content accumulated continuously in the developing seed. Oil accumulation reached a peak between 40 DPA and 45 DPA and slightly decreased in mature seed. In addition, GhKAR and GhENR showed different expression patterns in fiber and ovule development processes, in which they showed high expression levels at 20 DPA during the fiber elongation stage, but their expression level peaked at 15 DPA during ovule development processes. These two genes showed the lowest expression levels at the late seed maturation stage, while GhHAD showed a peak of 10 DPA in fiber development. Compared to 2074B, the oil contents of GhKAR and GhENR overexpression lines increased 1.05~1.08 folds. These results indicated that GhHAD, GhENR, and GhKAR were involved in both seed oil synthesis and fiber elongation with dual biological functions in cotton.

RESUMO

Flexible pressure sensors possess vast potential for various applications such as new energy batteries, aerospace engines, and rescue robots owing to their exceptional flexibility and adaptability. However, the existing sensors face significant challenges in maintaining long-term reliability and environmental resilience when operating in harsh environments with variable temperatures and high pressures (∼MPa), mainly due to possible mechanical mismatch and structural instability. Here, we propose a composite scheme for a flexible piezoresistive pressure sensor to improve its robustness by utilizing material design of near-zero temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR), radial gradient pressure-dividing microstructure, and flexible interface bonding process. The sensing layer comprising multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), graphite (GP), and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) was optimized to achieve a near-zero temperature coefficient of resistance over a temperature range of 25-70 °C, while the radial gradient microstructure layout based on pressure division increases the range of pressure up to 2 MPa. Furthermore, a flexible interface bonding process introduces a self-soluble transition layer by direct-writing TPU bonding solution at the bonding interface, which enables the sensor to achieve signal fluctuations as low as 0.6% and a high interface strength of up to 1200 kPa. Moreover, it has been further validated for its capability of monitoring the physiological signals of athletes as well as the long-term reliable environmental resilience of the expansion pressure of the power cell. This work demonstrates that the proposed scheme sheds new light on the design of robust pressure sensors for harsh environments.

RESUMO

video captioning is a more challenging task that aims to generate abundant natural language descriptions, and it has become a promising direction for artificial intelligence. However, most existing methods are prone to ignore the problems of visual information redundancy and scene information omission due to the limitation of the sampling strategies. To address this problem, a semantic guidance network for video captioning is proposed. More specifically, a novel scene frame sampling strategy is first proposed to select key scene frames. Then, the vision transformer encoder is applied to learn visual and semantic information with a global view, alleviating information loss of modeling long-range dependencies caused in the encoder's hidden layer. Finally, a non-parametric metric learning module is introduced to calculate the similarity value between the ground truth and the prediction result, and the model is optimized in an end-to-end manner. Experiments on the benchmark MSR-VTT and MSVD datasets show that the proposed method can effectively improve the description accuracy and generalization ability.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: Treatment of steroid-induced osteonecrosis of the femoral head (SIONFH) is challenging. Due to the limited understanding of its molecular mechanisms, investigating the potential mechanisms of ferroptosis will shed light on SIONFH and provide directions for treating this disease. METHODS: The GSE123568 dataset was utilized to apply various bioinformatics methodologies to identify ferroptosis-related hub genes (FRHGs). Subsequently, the importance of these genes and the reliability of the results were confirmed using protein data-independent acquisition (DIA) and cell experiments. Finally, we assessed the correlation between FRHG expression and immune cell infiltration. RESULTS: Thirty-one hub genes were identified and validated by constructing a protein-protein interaction network and subsequent screening using experimentally determined interactions. These 31 hub genes were enriched in immunity, the AMPK signaling pathway, and the Toll-like receptor signaling pathway. Next, we identified a diagnostic marker comprising two ferroptosis-related genes, NCF2 and SLC2A1. The differential expression of these two genes in healthy and necrotic regions was confirmed by protein DIA analysis. Cell experiments verified the link between FRHGs and ferroptosis and preliminarily explored the potential mechanism of the antioxidant vitexin in promoting osteogenic differentiation in cells. The diagnostic efficiency of these two markers was confirmed by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) curves, yielding an area under the curve of 1.0. Gene Ontology (GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) indicated enrichment of FRHGs in the superoxide anion and HIF-1 signaling pathways. A significant correlation was observed between FRHGs and various immune cell populations. CONCLUSION: NCF2 and SLC2A1 are promising ferroptosis-related diagnostic biomarkers of SIONFH. Concurrently, we embarked on a preliminary investigation to elucidate the potential mechanism underlying the promotion of osteogenic differentiation by the antioxidant vitexin. Moreover, these biomarkers are associated with distinct immune cell populations.

RESUMO

Some organic dyes and photosensitizers with strong visible absorption can behave as photo-responsive oxidase mimics. However, the relationship between the photo-oxidase activity and molecular structure remains unclear to date. In this work, a new type of photosensitizer with the characteristics of molecular rotors, namely DPPy, served as the molecular scaffold for further investigation. To adjust the photocatalytic oxidation ability, DAPy and CBPy were designed and synthesized based on the enhancement and diminishment of the intramolecular charge transfer (ICT) process, respectively. Kinetic studies revealed that DAPy and CBPy both exhibited highly efficient photo-activated oxidase-like activity with 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) as the substrate, which were in good accordance with their molecular engineering to promote either type I or type II reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. Impressively a colorimetric method based on the visible light induced oxidase-like activity of molecular rotors was developed to determine the environmental temperature for the first time. Both DAPy and CBPy showed distinct sensitivities toward temperature as compared with several molecular rotors based on the typical fluorimetric detection. This work provides a new strategy for the application of molecular rotors to overcome the non-emissive challenge in temperature sensing.
